The Monday after Lotusphere. One of the harder days to go back to work.  First, the emails that didn't get returned last week need to be filtered and replied to or delegated. Maybe some of the senders will read the out of office message and actually call the helpdesk instead of waiting for a response from me telling them to do that.  At least I can hope for that.  Then there's the questions from the other admins here, and the boss.  Need time to put everything into a cohesive message that we can use to outline a plan for the year.

Yes - I want to move on 8.0.1 when it comes out, but...we need to make sure it'll run on the older PCs. No, the basic config isn't an alternative that's really being looked at.
Yes - I want to use the Quickr File Sharing in 8.1, but we need to see how it "really" works, as well as get our AD functionality fixed.
Yes - Connections looks cool, but how might it fit in with our company/department objectives and needs.
Yes - we are migrating users from Exchange (!) to Notes, but how do we get their Sharepoint data migrated, or easily accessible from Notes.  Searching "the internets" comes up with lots of tools for going the other way, but haven't found anything that provides something in the direction we're going. Maybe we wait until the Quickr Content Integrator to pull that into a Lotus format.

So, I guess that's the initial reaction to Lotusphere.  Lots of great announcements and possibilities. Now it's time to determine how they fit within the plans at your company.
